FAQ

Common questions.

How does Niche bill?

Niche is credit-metered, not seat-based. Each plan includes a monthly credit allotment (Creator 8K / Studio 30K / Operator 80K). You spend credits when you discover signal, generate angles, draft platform content, or render images and reels. Failed runs are refunded automatically.

What does a typical run cost in credits?

A LinkedIn-only run with an image card costs ~160 credits. Five platforms plus an image card costs ~280 credits. A one-platform run with image card and reel costs ~510 credits. A five-platform run with image card and reel costs ~660 credits.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 3 days, 1,500 credits, no card required. That covers about nine typical runs, enough to know if Niche fits your beat. After 72 hours the trial closes; you can convert to a paid plan or wait 14 days for full read-only access.

What happens if my run fails?

You don't pay for it. Credits are held when a run starts and charged stage by stage as the work completes. Anything left over is returned, and if the run fails partway, the full amount comes back. You only pay for work that actually finishes.

Can I top up credits without upgrading?

Yes, on any paid plan. Top-up packs come in 5K credits ($25), 10K ($50), or 20K ($100). Top-ups expire 3 months from purchase. They're spent after your plan credits, oldest expiry first, so the math always favors you.

What's a brand profile and why do I need multiple?

A brand profile is the editorial identity Niche threads through the pipeline: voice rules, lexicon (with severity-tiered rewrites), framing allowlist, verifier overrides, channel config, source quality preferences. Single-brand operators (Creator tier) need one. Agencies and multi-brand operators (Studio = 5, Operator = unlimited) keep distinct profiles per client.

What's a PAT and who needs one?

A Personal Access Token (PAT) is how agents authenticate to Niche's MCP server. Studio includes one rate-limited PAT for light automation. Operator unlocks unlimited PATs and shows you exactly what each agent is spending on /settings/api-keys, so you can catch a runaway loop before it burns through your balance.

Which platforms can Niche publish to directly?

Niche writes platform-native content for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and long-form (Substack, blog, newsletter) on every plan. LinkedIn and X connect for direct publishing today. Instagram is coming soon, so for now you export or copy the finished post from the filing sheet and paste it in. Direct rails light up automatically as each one clears.

What's the credit cost of an image card or reel?

Standard image card: 30 credits. Premium image card: 100 credits. Standard reel: 350 credits (8 stills, voiceover, and composite). Premium reel: 600 credits. Renders route automatically between providers, with a premium quality tier you can opt into for hero assets.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from /settings/usage in one click; you keep access through the end of your billing period, then drop to free. No proration on the way down. Top-ups stay valid for 3 months from purchase regardless of plan status.

3 days. 1,500 credits. No card.

Enough for nine typical runs, more than enough to know if it fits.
